Job Description

Your Impact

  • Supporting the Cybersecurity Strategy and Global Policy Team to advise on the development and implementation of legislation, policies, regulations and programs aligned with the company’s strategic interests throughout the United States and around the world-This includes policies and regulations related to cybersecurity, data privacy, ransomware, cyber incident reporting, 5G security, Internet of Things, and supply chain risk management

  • Draft memos, policies, and other documents for executive leadership

  • Help the company develop responses to rulemakings and other requests for information related to law, policies, and regulations that may affect Palo Alto Networks and our customers

  • Advise internal company stakeholders on legislation, policies, and regulations, and work within the company to ensure that appropriate risk management strategies are implemented

  • Help to select and coordinate strategic management and accountability of external legal support that can scale globally to assist with country-specific legal regimes

  • Represent the company in external forums, and collaborate with trade associations on areas of common interest

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • J.D. is required

  • Strong understanding of and experience with policy and regulatory process and government affairs activities, especially related to the cybersecurity and technology industry

  • 7+ years of professional experience working on relevant legal issues, policy or regulatory compliance, or oversight activities in partnership with government affairs/government relations peers

  • Experience working with/in Congress and key government policy, regulatory and incident response agencies

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
