Upper Valley MEND is an independent human services organization that engages with the local community to alleviate hunger, provide affordable housing, ensure access to affordable healthcare, and provide emergency services to those in crisis in the Upper Wenatchee Valley. Our vision is an empowered community with equitable access to food, housing, healthcare and emergency services.

Upper Valley MEND is seeking a temporary Emergency Assistance Program Coordinator 20-30 hours per week starting ASAP and working through August 2020. This position is a temporary position to cover for a staff member on parental leave, and to address increasing need related to the economic impacts of Covid-19.

The Emergency Assistance Program Coordinator will be a lead on the Emergency Assistance team, providing rental/mortgage, utility, transportation and emergency shelter assistance to those facing homelessness in the Upper Wenatchee Valley. This position works collaboratively with clients, office staff, volunteers, donors, organizational partners and other stakeholders to pursue housing solutions that meet the individual needs of our clients. This position reports to the Executive Director.

We are looking for a professional coordinator who has training and experience in some combination of social work, community organizing or case management.
