HopeSource is hiring a Public Relations Coordinator to manage all aspects of our public-facing brand and to manage our social media channels. Position: Public Relations Coordinator

Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $15.00-$18.00/hour

Hours: 8am-5pm, M-F (some evenings/nights)

Role: Public Relations

Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of our public-facing brand. We are interested in penetrating new markets and increasing brand visibility. Responsible for unifying our brand across all print and digital channels, establishing a social media presence across multiple platforms and creating an editorial calendar for content marketing.

Write press releases and prepare information for the media

Identify target audiences and determine the best way to reach them

Assist and inform an organizations executives and spokespeople

Establishing and maintaining relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups.

Coaching client representatives in effective communication with the public and employees.

Studying the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.

Preparing and editing organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders' reports, for internal and external audiences.

Updating and maintaining Web content.

Implements communication campaigns by preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars.

Coordinate with designer to create and distribute promotional materials such as brochures, annual reports, and other branded media.

Supports management by providing data, market trends, and relaying customer services requests.

Plans outreach and fundraising events by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.

Updates job knowledge by participating in continuing educational opportunities

Role: Social Media Management

Responsibilities: Manage all social media channels and campaigns to sustain an engaging audience experience. Researches and analyses social media trends, including social media ad revenue and web visitor data, to improve social media presence and campaign efficacy. Works with various company departments to promote overall brand through social media channels.

Oversees all company social media accounts management

Develops engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages with relevant, original, high-quality content through deliberate planning and goal setting

SEO and generation of inbound traffic

Monitors and develops reports on competitor activity within social media spaces

Identify and suggest improvements to organizational development aspects that would improve content (ie: employee training, recognition and rewards for participation in the companys marketing and online review building)

Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns

Passionate about ideas, brands, the agency and our client's business

Demonstrates a strong work ethic, a bias for action, and extraordinary dedication to results

Seek out continuing education in the field to maintain current skills

Minimum Requirements:

Highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers

Proven ability to network with local stakeholders, governments, and other agencies

Proven ability to handle public and media contact assignments

Up-to-date with digital technology trends

Bachelors degree in journalism, PR, marketing or related field preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of consumer marketing.

Ability to think both creatively and strategically.

Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.

Understanding of social media and solid experience working with bloggers.

Project and budget management skills.

Responds well under pressure with strict time limit.
