Coordinates with quality and program management to identify and implement corrective actions as appropriate; supports, documents, and validates process improvement initiatives. Candidate should have a working knowledge or be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within Quality Assurance, good attention to detail, as well as organization and communication skills. This position reports to the Senior Quality Engineer.Specific Responsibilities:Write quality plans compliant to customer requirements working with product development and/or manufacturing teams to ensure the plans are fulfilled during development and production phasesManage the compliance of the quality activities through the application of system, product and process audits to support FAA and/or customer requirements.Interpret, apply and communicate engineering drawings / models/ specifications; Federal Aviation Regulations, Quality Control System Requirements, knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication techniques and processes. Serve as Point of Contact for regulatory authorities and external customers regarding system compliance.Review new and revised product documentation to ensure the accuracy of customer quality requirements and their impact to the product/business.Provide program support, as assigned to include:Model/Drawing interrogation for FAI development and/or approval as requiredInspection Checklist creation and/or approval as requiredSupport Program Management, Customer Program and Operations Reviews as neededParticipate in Product Development, Manufacturing and Testing activities. Analyze performance and failure data throughout development cycle and models for improvement. Apply Statistical Process Control as necessary.Coordinate external test lab requirements pertaining to assigned programs as required.Support Quality Action reporting metrics; data for tracking metrics, root cause and corrective action. Assist in the development of root-cause analysis and ensure corrective/ preventive actions are implemented to address non-conformances.Participate in internal and external design reviews, providing input on definition of product sufficient to allow inspection, prior production / field issues pertinent to the configuration under review. Has a strong working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5M and/or Y14.41 sufficient to review / approve manufacturing work instructions and support inspection practices including selection of appropriate measurement methods / instruments.Participate in audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audit finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.Additional tasks and job assignments as deemed necessary to achieve the goals of the Quality Department and CompanyMinimum Requierments:Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering or related technical discipline with minimum 5 years of related work experience; or combination of degree and work experience.Experience in Root Cause and Corrective and Preventative Action.Familiar with standard concepts, practices For full info follow application link.Aurora Flight Sciences is an Equal Opportunity Employer
