POSITION SUMMARY

You know your way around a ski shop and tune-ups have become your own personal Zen garden. Come elevate your skills at Snowshoe Mountain. We are seeking an enthusiastic, mountain loving, Rental Supervisor to lead our team. Expedition Station Rentals is our primary rental location. Nestled in the heart of the village and steps away from our main basin ski area, this shop is high volume, good energy, and big fun. This position reports to the Expedition Station Rental Manager and is eligible for all employee perks and benefits.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Contributes to Employee Experience

  • Maintaining harmony among employees during scheduled shift.
  • Providing positive reinforcement and corrective discipline.
  • Recognizing and working to resolve challenges before they arise.
  • Sharing job duties and assisting where needed.

Assures Guest Service and Satisfaction

  • Providing guest with equipment/service/resort information, features, and benefit.
  • Addressing complaints and concerns.
  • Monitoring staff for proper training and compliance to shop procedures.

Provides Support for Management Team

  • Assisting in appraisal of employee performance.
  • Suggesting when additional projects or tasks are necessary.
  • Studying and standardizing procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Assisting manager with disciplinary action and coaching of staff.

Maintains Inventory

  • Monitoring issues and returns of equipment.
  • Pulling any contracts that are overdue for review by management.
  • Ensuring that all issues and returns are entered into computer in a timely manner.
  • Performing cycle counts on retail merchandise.

Contributes to Safe Working Environment and Ensures Liability Compliance

  • Enforcing and following established safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Stressing safe work practices and use of tools and equipment.
  • Ensuring work areas are free of clutter, debris, and hazards.
  • Taking and passing required certification tests.
  • Monitoring work of ski technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • At least one season of experience working as a ski rental tech.

PREFERRED

  • 1 year supervisory experience (bonus points if within ski industry)
