Come join our team for this opportunity to use your talent and passion for tennis to give back to the next generation!About Us:The USTA Mid-Atlantic Section (USTA MAS), one of 17 sections of the United States Tennis Association, is a non-profit organization committed to promoting tennis by offering quality recreational and competitive programs for people of all ages and abilities.USTA MAS is looking for enthusiastic, experienced, and creative part-time tennis coaches to join our before and after school enrichment programs.Our after school programs are offered between 3pm-5pm weekdays for one hour each week per site. We are currently seeking coaches for Martinsburg, WV.We offer competitive pay (starting $22.00 per hour for head coach and $17.00 per hour for assistant coach, with opportunities to increase in pay over time. The hour commitment typically ranges from 1.5 -7.5 hours per week (usually 1.5 hours of tennis class per day).This is a way to earn extra money doing what you love with limited time commitment. We are always hiring for Part-Time as needed coaches for the following seasons:Spring Season: April ? JuneSummer Season: July ? AugustFall Season: September ? Provide instruction on tennis fundamentals and the rules and etiquette of the sport.

Ensure that proper safety guidelines and standards are maintained.

Head tennis coaches should have mastery of basic tennis skills and be able to teach those skills to youth ages 6-11.

Assistant coaches with mastery of basic tennis skills preferred, but not required. Assistant coaches are required to be good with working with children and have experience managing young groups.

Must have a passion for tennis.

Typically coach 1-5 hours per week.

Must be available for at least 2 weekday afternoons.

Reliable, energetic, strong communication skills, and organized.

Additional training (online and on-court) provided.

All equipment needed to coach is provided by USTA.

Previous tennis teaching experience preferred, but not required.

Knowledgeable about and able to teach 10U tennis using USTA-supported transition equipment.

PTR or USPTA certification a plus for head coach consideration, but not required.

CPR + First Aid certification is a plus for head coach candidates.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED (head coach position only).

Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Dependable transportation to travel to sites and with space to carry tennis equipment.

Must be able to work in one of the geographical areas above.

Must pass a background check and complete a tuberculosis screening form.

Bonus Points:

Coaching: 1 year of experience, preferred but not required.

PTR or USPTA certification a plus for head coach consideration, but not required.

CPR + First Aid certification is a plus for head coach candidates.
