Solidus is searching for an Automated Software Tester for a 5 month assignment that has a high probability of extension to support a critical DoD project. This is a 100% remote, fully-benefited position. All applicants must be able to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and automated testing within an Agile and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery model. Successful individual will be interested in white box, black box, and automated testing. Additionally, this person should be interested in doing automated test engineering (designing/implementing test cases from a software perspective that can "break" the system via well-conceived manual/automated testing internally before the end-users find problems.Requirements - ship and Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years (Junior) or 8 years (Mid) experienceRequired Experience - Java, JavaScript, HTML5 and object-oriented programming - Software development process fundamentals - Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniquesPrimary Responsibilities include considering the following for each new Story, Bug, or Refactor:- Test needed on MilCloud - Test needed on Government Laptop - Test needed in Internet Explorer or Edge - Concurrency, Volume, Fuzz, Load, Disruption, Operational Thread and Data Migration Testing- Create Test Cases: Based of the above analysis, determine the test cases that should be run against the software - Evaluate & Run Test Cases: Determine the test cases that are already captured by automated tests - Determine the test cases that are not covered by automated tests, but should be. Then, either create the automated tests or create tasks in the backlog to create the automated tests. Determine the test cases that should be tested manually. Run each manual test case & record the results - Knowledge of gherkin syntax, Cucumber tests, and Rubymine (testing tool) or testing products deployed to cloud environments (AWS) are key required skills.Req 4536Applicants selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
