Wage:
$12.5 per hour + mileage reimbursement; Part-time up to 10-30 hours per week from April to September, 2019. Flexible work schedule, but must be willing to work weekdays and weekends.
Education and Experience:
At least high school or equivalent. Experience in the Monongahela National Forest is preferred. Must be able to communicate with visitors in a friendly and effective way.
Requirements:
1) Must be proficient in oral communication;
2)Ability to conduct face-to-face interviews with recreation users;
3) Maintain a polite, courteous, and friendly demeanor at all times;
4) Ability to coordinate with the contact person;
5) Must have reliable vehicle for transportation; Willingness to drive to recreation sites in the Monongahela National Forest;
6) Willingness to learn how to conduct face-to-face interviews and work with traffic counters; and
7) Willingness to go through a background check.
Physical demands: Able to carry equipment that may weigh up to 10 lbs; Able to set-up road signs and traffic counters.
Work Environment: Work environment will be mostly field work.
