This position will champion, promote,
and guide the Health Systems equity and inclusion strategy and diversity
initiatives across our health system. The Director will lead the
collaborative effort of the Health Systems workforce including employees,
physicians, residents, students and volunteers to provide an engaging and
inclusive work environment. In collaboration with the Chief Human Resources
Officer, leadership and staff, this position will oversee all equity and
inclusion and diversity programs and initiatives, diversity metrics,
insights, surveys, internal and external customer consultation, building
Inclusion and Diversity capability internally and with any associated
business partners of the health system.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION,
CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:1.
Masters
Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Leadership or a
Diversity related program.
EXPERIENCE:1.
7
- 10 years demonstrated experience working in a Diversity, Equity or Inclusion
based position. Prior leadership experience required.
2.
Ability
to work in a highly collaborative culture, requiring high influence skills.
3.
Demonstrated
experience leading transformative change in large, complex, matrixed organizations
with varying cultures.
4.
SPHR/SHRM-SCP
certification highly desirable. Certified Diversity Professional (CDP)-
Preferred or acquired within six (6) months of hire.
5.
Confident
in facilitating, presenting and speaking to both internal and external
audiences.
6.
Proven
track record of leading company-wide initiatives with multiple stakeholders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The

1.
Create
a cohesive, system-wide and health system-focused Equity & Inclusion and
Diversity strategy and operationalize it into a concrete working plan.
2.
Consult
with senior leaders on inclusion strategies to enable business performance.
3.
Engage
and network with the broader WVUHS community to learn, lead and partner on
matters of diversity and equity & inclusion; strategically align with
outside organizations to help augment our strategy, and create
ground-breaking thought-leadership.
4.
Support
senior leadership with development and implementation of system diversity and
equity & inclusion strategies, including recruitment, performance
management, leadership development, employee engagement and retention.
5.
Serve
as a subject matter expert and partner to the business by continuously
analyzing and presenting talent demographics, monitoring data trends and
providing insights into the data collected.
6.
Identify,
build, and sustain community partnerships to support system diversity and
equity & inclusion projects/plans/initiatives and business strategies.
7.
Promote
a cohesive and inclusive overarching culture while maintaining a sense of
local identity in various office locations.
8.
Encouraging
and moderating open and practical conversation to lead teams to a greater
understanding of diversity and equity & inclusion
9.
Build
bold, creative diversity initiatives that demonstrate leadership as a leader,
innovator, ambassador, collaborator, partner, and catalyst in mobilizing
employees along the inclusion journey.
10.
Willl
bring thought leadership, perspective and vision to create and implement
impactful programs.
12.
Will
oversee the WVUHS Affirmative Action programs
