Job Description

Your Impact

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of technology (including cloud and hybrid SaaS models), intellectual property, channel, partner, customer, and product agreements, and other types of U.S federal government contracting-related agreements
  • Assist U.S. federal sales team with U.S. federal government proposals, certifications, and other requirements
  • Manage U.S. federal government-related representations and certifications
  • Collaborate and partner effectively with internal business clients to advise on a wide range of U.S. government contracts legal topics including applicable U.S. federal procurement laws and contractual rights, obligations, and liabilities
  • Support compliance in day-to-day U.S. federal government sales and contracting activities, including advising internal clients on legal and contractual requirements, coordinating with other groups within the Legal Department on public sector compliance matters, and assisting with special compliance projects as requested
  • Advise on M&A and integration efforts involving U.S. government contractors
  • Support continuous improvement of standard form agreements, policies and legal processes related to public sector transactions

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Must be a lawyer qualified to practice in at least one U.S. state, and have a law degree from a reputable law school
  • Must have 5+ years of public sector transactional and compliance experience with demonstrated success, including but not limited, experience negotiating non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, license agreements, subcontracts, partner agreements, and information-sharing agreements
  • Extensive experience with the FAR/DFARS and other agency-specific procurement rules and contracting vehicles
  • Experience supporting FAR/DFARS based compliance projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, business judgment, strategic thinking, superior work ethic, flexibility and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams and support numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
  • Superior language, written and verbal communication skills required
  • Sense of humor always a plus and commitment to professionalism and inclusion is expected
  • Experience in network security or other high technology companies preferred
  • In-house experience preferred
  • Experience with state and local government and education (SLED) contracting is a plus

If hired in Colorado, this position starts at $128,500/yr. Depending on the position offered, restricted stock units and incentive or bonus pay may be provided as part of this compensation package.
