Job Description
The Plant Controller is responsible for the accounting and internal controls in a plant environment and supervising the various financial transactions, accounting controls and accounting department functions. It is also responsible for administering plant's cost control function including coordinating plant's forecasting budgeting and objectives defined by division or management. This position is the central point of contact between the plant and divisional headquarters for financial and other administrative matters.The Plant Controller will:- Responsible for all technical plant accounting issues
- Manages the balance sheet and P&L statement preparation
- Manages the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, & annual reporting requirements as instructed by corporate.
- Responsible for the planning functions including budget and forecasting.
- Meets with plant management and other departments to discuss accounting problems, policy interpretations, cost distributions and saving initiatives
- Directly communicates with plant management staff regarding all material and expense expenditures, storeroom, requisition, & Pro-cards and reconciliation of these.
- Prepares or directs the preparation of 901's.
- Supervises fixed assets of the facility
- Prepares annual plans and forecasts of plant operations
- Executes monthly Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Ensures accurate reporting of Lean Six Sigma project savings
Qualifications
The Sr Plant Controller should have:- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in accounting or finance
- 3-4 years related work experience
