As a Software Engineer III, you will be responsible for writing and configuring code in accordance with our client's technical specifications. You will work directly with end-users from Children's National Hospital to create MVP products, make enhancements to existing software with minimal direction, participate in code reviews and identify moderate issues/deviations from best practices, collaborate on component level technical designs, own and assist others in debugging and documenting root cause analysis and resolution. You will also identify process improvements at the team level to support operations and development ecosystem, provide software release support and mentor and train new associates within your team and/or training programs. As a Software Engineer III on the Bear Institute Innovation team, you will have immediate impact by making the lives of patients and their families better and the work of our clinicians easier.QualificationsBasic QualificationsAt least 6 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:At least 1 year software engineering work experienceAt least 5 years higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job, including:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or relevant degree or equivalent work experienceExpectationsWilling to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulationsWork in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of positionPerform other responsibilities as assignedAdditional InformationApplicants for U.S. based positions with Cerner Corporation must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
