Job Description
Certified Activity / Activities Director:officially we title this job an Activities Director,but in other centers it may be calledActivity Coordinator / Director of Activities or Life Enrichment Coordinator / DirectorThe Activities Directorshall develop and implement meaningful activity and recreational programs thatembrace and fulfill the needs, as well as varied interests, of the residents while promoting or enhancing physical and psychosocial wellbeing. Design of the programs will include social, sensory, physical, cognitive, reflective, nature, spiritual activities and outings.
- Organizes and schedules events related to residents’ interests
- Plans, schedules and implement room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their rooms
- Plans, schedules and implements indoor and outdoor activity programs
- Maintains an activity attendance record for each resident
- Assess needs and maintain an adequate supply of materials to implement activity programs
- High quality standards; in fact, many of our centers have a 5-star quality rating

Qualifications
What you will need:- Certified Activity Director (the 36 hour certification course for the state of IL)
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting as an Activity Director
- Experience with the memory care population
- Extensive involvement with leading a dynamic team, creating an engaging events calendar and managing the individual needs of long term care patients that address their physical, cognitive and social deficits.
- Electronic medical records experience (Point Click Care)
