Our client, is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst for a full time role. This candidate will own the general ledger and all period-end closing processes, including the preparation and posting of all journal entries, account reconciliations, costing updates, etc. And, assist with reporting and budgeting. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of activities. ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesPerforms analysis of financial and operational information and metrics to achieve financial and managerial accounting objectives. Interacts with internal and external customers, and provides excellent customer service. Implements and assures effective business controls through review, analysis, and verification. Drives continuous improvement in operational systems, processes, and policies to increase the effectiveness and efficiency and enhance the workflow of accounting operational activities.Carries out responsibilities in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. Supports ongoing development, direction, management, and leadership within the department. Monthly Close and Reporting – execute the monthly closing process and monitor progress through completion; prepare journals; ensure all events, transactions, accruals, reserves, and adjustments are recorded completely in the appropriate period; ensure all manual subledgers, schedules, and bank and GL reconciliations are completed accurately and timely. Annual Budget – assist with the annual budgeting process, including research and analysis and the preparation of budget and expense models and templates.Annual Close and Reporting – execute the annual calendar year closing process. Prepare all auditor requests. Update standard labor and burden costs and update standards in the ERP system. Assist with compilation of the consolidated financial statements and Annual Report.Statutory Reporting – prepare or assist with statutory reporting required throughout the year, including: U.S. government surveys and filings, property tax returns, B&O tax returns, sales tax and GST/HST returns, unclaimed property, other state and local filings, etc. Prepare documentation to calculate and support quarterly corporate income tax provisions, including the IC-DISC commission calculation.Estimated time for Tasks: 50% - Monthly Close and Reporting, 10% - Annual Budget ,20% - Annual Close and Reporting, 10% - Statutory Reporting,10% - OtherQualificationsGood knowledge of GAAP, management and cost accounting, and taxGood understanding of business processes and controlsProficient in using Excel and BI applications to develop reports and analyze informationEducation & Experience needed: Bachelors in Accounting- (
