Job Description
An excellent Technicianhas good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. They are well-versed in complex mechanical or electronical systems of vehicles and have excellent problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities and Dutieso Perform maintenance or repair work specified on a repair order
o Perform quality multipoint inspections to identify needed repairs
o Provide time and labor estimates for needed repairs
o General repair on most makes and models, brake pads and shoes, tires, alignments, steering and suspension, cooling systems, a/c, wheel bearings, and drive train
o Test and inspect vehicles after performed repairs
o Communicate directly with service advisors if any additional services are needed
o Maintain a clean and organized working environment
o Adhere to all company policy and procedures
o Must be able to use a computer to find and utilize technical data and service bulletins for various repairs
Requirementso Proven experience as auto Technician
o Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
o Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
o Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
o Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
o Excellent physical condition
o High school diploma is preferred;
o Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred
o Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus
o Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
o Able to work a 6 day work week with weekends included
