One of the largest restaurants in the Midwest is seeking an Executive Chef. Candidates must be up to task in managing a large kitchen staff, along with performing the necessary administrative duties needed to make a large kitchen profitable.
Our next Executive Chef should be able to flourish in a fast paced, high volume environment while still exercising your creative side by overseeing a growing banquet department. Multi-tasking, great communication skills, the desire to coach and develop your team are among a few of the interpersonal skills we are looking for as well.
Candidates will need to bring:
Minimum 2 year degree in culinary program
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Use of Aloha is advantageous
Strong writing/math skills
Solid history in kitchen management with prior experience managing a staff
Banquet background desirable
Valid Class D license and insurability
Experience in scheduling/maintaining standards/developing inexperienced staff
Knowledge of government safety and sanitation regulations
Ability to keep an accurate/profitable inventory
Strong communication skills for co-workers as well as guests
Understanding of labor laws - both state and federal
