Title: Fabrication Coordinator Assistant
Department(s): Fabrication Control
Reports to: Shop Superintendent & Fabrication Manager
General Purpose of the Job:
Supply the shop with the necessary paperwork and stencils to get a job started and moving.
Summary of Major Responsibilities/Duties:
Make cut lists for the shop.
Make sure all loaded wagons have the proper Bren or ink stencil done and ready for loaders.
Makes sure the proper stencils are made for each job.
Process any SWO’s or ECR’s from engineering.
File all fabrication from previous day by date and file any paperwork that comes from engineering.
Maintain a record of each job concerning paper color, stencils qty, if ink stencils are needed.
Answer anyone’s questions or concerns, make copies for them and help them out as needed.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Conducts work safely and follows all safety procedures. Rejects work that is not safe and discusses the situation with supervisor.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High school diploma or general education degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondents. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
