Intermediate Technical Writer Location: Brookfield, WI/ Milwaukee, WI/ Naperville, IL/ RemoteDuration: 6 months with possible extension

Description:LOB: US Collections Support This position requires a technical writer with advanced Microsoft Word experience and basic SharePoint skills. The successful candidate will fill a position to support U. S. Collections Support Document Control team by managing development, editing, and the review and approval workflow for procedures and customer-facing letters. This role involves fulfilling change requests by following established document control procedures.

Group Culture:This individual will be working with a high-producing team of people with similar experience, in a collaborative setting in a fast-paced, innovative, and friendly environment. Team meetings occur twice a week, and one-on-one meetings occur monthly. The team is very supportive and interactive; discussions of ongoing projects, challenges, and new information is shared in a group setting! Work is accessible through SharePoint tools.

Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):- Developing and editing new and existing letter templates and procedure documents using Microsoft Word- Managing reviews and approval workflows using SharePoint tools- Accessing the SharePoint sites to create new procedure documents or make changes to existing documents- Reviewing scheduled meetings and sending documents to appropriate approvals- Maintenance of documents, records and files of work, and revisions in SharePoint- Organize material and complete writing assignment accordingly to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology- Working with senior managers, officers, lawyers, and subject matter experts to obtain content information and facilitate reviews and approvals

Must-Have Skills:- 2-4 years of technical writing experience- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word: Applicant must have extensive experience using advanced features of Word, such as Word styles, creating templates and forms, creating bookmarks and hyperlinks, developing fields, and using review features- Advanced English writing and editing skills; ability to proofread and implement perfect grammar, spelling, and punctuation- Strong keyboarding skills, with the ability to type 60 to 90 words per minute- Basic SharePoint skills to organize, edit, and maintain technical records and files- Basic knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar

Nice-to-Have Skills:- Previous financial institution experience (worked at client, used our systems)- Experience in procedure or analysis writing is preferred; a mindset of how a procedure works (when it starts, main steps that need to happen, implement change)- Similar job exposure in a related field

Soft Skills/Desired Attributes:- Candidate must be a self-starter and team player- Detail-oriented and exhibit exceptional accuracy- Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be comfortable talking to people multiple levels above- Ability to manage time and priorities to meet deadlines- Works independently with minimal support and asking for direction when appropriate

Education:- Bachelor’s degree required:Technical Communications or Technical Writing degree is ideal; an English degree is acceptable- Only candidates with a college degree will be considered
