IT Support Specialist IV

Genuent is hiring a IT Support Specialist IV for our direct client in Brookfield, WI area. This is a 12+ month contract with a tentative start date of June, 28. Local caniddates only. This will be on site in Brookfield, WI. Normal Day-to-Day Duties

  • Imaging and setting up laptops for new hires, contractors, or break/fix situations.
  • Troubleshooting tickets that come into queues for various sites, both in the form of remote support and in-person after users return to the office.
  • Both hardware and software troubleshooting will be needed, with the ability to think on his/her feet and research solutions when needed.
  • Assisting users with setting up VPN and/or RSA tokens remotely for use with VPN.
  • Troubleshooting various conferencing issues, especially while people are currently working remotely more than in-house at branches.
  • Inventory and decommission hardware when needed.
  • Ability to multi-task is essential, as is good customer service skills both in written and over-the-phone conversations.
Software Proficiencies
  • Previous experience with imaging software like SCCM would be preferred, but imaging PCs and laptops in general would be fine too.
  • Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are the most commonly used apps, but it is not limited to knowledge of only the core Office apps.
  • Cisco AnyConnect VPN client preferred, but knowledge of VPN clients in general would be good.
  • Many different suites of software are commonly used, just to name a few: Adobe products; AutoCAD; SAP; various Microsoft products; various driver and tool sets; various web browsers Chrome and Microsoft Edge are our defaults; CyberArk or admin rights suites; Avaya; various BlueCoat agents. Any proficiency in those apps would be good, but as I said before, the ability to troubleshoot general software issues is also needed with the ability to learn and troubleshoot new software on the fly.
  • Ability to use ServicePoint for ticketing or request tracking purposes, or having previous experience with other ticketing/request software suites.
  • Having previous experience using remoting software. We currently use Bomgar for remote support but if he/she has SCCM, Remote Desktop, etc. experience with doing remote support, then he/she should be able to learn Bomgar.
  • Conferencing apps mostly used but not limited to: Microsoft Teams (big emphasis on using and troubleshooting Teams), WebEx, Vidyo.
  • Certifications nice to have but not necessarily required
  • A+
  • Microsoft Desktop certifications there are a lot of potential Microsoft certs, but a lot of them would apply
  • Network+ or Security certs are good too to show well-roundedness, but not required
