confidence, this is your opportunity to lead where it counts.RESPONSIBILITIES – HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE VISION include the following, but are not limited to: Oversee all accounting operations and processes.Prepare budgets, financial forecasts and report key variances and highlights.Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Create financial plans, in collaboration with operational leaders, to support current and future business needs and identify opportunities to improve profitability.Effectively lead, coach and develop assigned team, and foster a healthy culture consistent with company values.Review work performed by team members to ensure all reporting and analysis is complete, accurate and complies with GAAP.Coordinate and assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting including annual and periodic audits.Research technical accounting issues for compliance.Lead month-end and year-end close process.Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.Collaborate with management to secure necessary funding and maintain strategic relationships with external banks and partners to support organizational financial needs.Work closely with external accounting firms to ensure all tax and audit requirements are satisfied.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Maintain regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions.Keep management informed of area activities of any significant opportunities.
