The Electrical Panel Builder will be responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and blueprints in order to build electrical panels for company equipment. This dynamic position will work with a small team to build, wire and load standard programs into the PLC for all panels. Additional responsibilities include:
Read and understand electrical schematic drawings, pull parts from BOM and issue within our ERP system, use the scheduler program and shop floor workbench computer systems to ensure accuracy in the labor tracked to each job
Perform electrical control panel equipment layout
Operate manual and powered hand tools including drill, chop saw, grinder and screwdriver following specified safety requirements to drill and cut holes in panel enclosure
Perform electrical wiring of stock control panels according to blueprints. Must drill tap mounting holes from template, cut din rail and wire duct, mount equipment on back panel and label according to the blueprint
Build and assemble Relay Logic Panels by using standard layouts, abiding by understood UL requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
3+ years' experience in manufacturing
Record of process improvement
Ability to read and interpret electrical and/or piping schematics
Ability to layout wire, program electrical panels
