Position Overview

Join Gerber and grow with us! Our Paint Preppers individually prepare each vehicle throughout the repair process to help our technicians deliver high quality repairs. Whether a Paint Prepper is busy washing, taping, or identifying imperfections during the repair, this position is a key contributor to help WOW our customers. This is an entry level position that offers the opportunity to learn our business operations and further grow your career.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicles properly for paint, including taping, masking, etc.

  • Rub and polish completed vehicles

  • Assist Refinish Technician in other areas as assigned

  • Attend/collaborate with team during daily production meetings

  • Work closely with production team and coworkers to meet deadlines

  • Keep parts area clean and organized for production efficiency

  • Attend/collaborate with team during daily production meetings

  • Complete required company and safety training

  • Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

  • Interest and desire to develop a career in the automotive repair industry

  • 1-3+ years of related employment experience a plus

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment

  • Demonstrate willingness to work with others to achieve common goals
