We will also consider candidates in our Midwest locations.JOB SUMMARYThe Director position for the CBRE Business Analytics leads success of real estate business intelligence projects and solutions for CBRE’s clients. Projects may involve data integration and visualization to optimize client portfolio operations across all service lines: facilities management, project management, finance, portfolio administration, benchmarking, and capital planning, etc.The Director will be responsible developing strategic analytics roadmaps to generate meaningful client insights in collaboration with function experts, our clients and account teams. S/he will then oversee all delivery work by the analysts that support the roadmap. S/he will ensure the proper technical solution is implemented, ensuring completion of deliverables in a timely manner.The ideal candidate possesses a broad skill set across five key categories: advanced project and team management, strong client-facing communications, experience in data modeling and relational databases, Tableau expertise, and knowledge of the corporate real estate outsourcing industry. Minimum of 6+ years of experience. Advanced degree not required but preferred. This position is remote, but the Business Analytics Team has significant presence in Cincinnati, OH, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, and San Diego, CA. Work from home or another CBRE office is an option for the right candidate.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops, implements and maintains key processes to be followed by the team. Defines priorities for service and project execution as part of a one-time client engagement or as part of an on-going client relationship.Collaborates with the line of business platform and team members to support the needs of clients.May conduct periodic interviews of business unit and other client leaders to identify future business direction and real estate requirements relative to analytic and data strategy needs for analytic roadmap incorporation.Support the management and achievement of financial, operational, and other key performance indicators for client engagements, internal projects, or overall team goals.Ensure a high level of employee engagement. Direct individual and team growth.Oversee overall project and service delivery for business intelligence projects for a variety of corporate and government client, including formal reports, PowerPoint briefings, technical solutions for data ingestion and integration, and presentation of analytics (dashboards, etc).Lead client presentations (both in-person and virtually) of project progress meetings and presentations of results.Problem-solve technical issues and client questions. Escalate issues to senior management and dedicated technical team as needed.Provide subject matter expertise on data-related processes and analyses.Miscellaneous support for marketing materials, presentations, budgeting, and resource planning.Assigns tasks, responsibilities, evaluates and mentors staff.Other duties may be assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position will supervise a team and provides guidance, and/or training to coworkers. Leads project teams and/or plan and supervises assignments of employees. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Master’s degree or MBA preferred. Business Intelligence certification preferred.COMMUNICATION SKILLSExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYTICSExtensive experience with real estate data, including data management, structure, and analysis. Skilled in dashboard design and development. Extensive experience with Tableau is preferred. Proficiency in database technologies such as Microsoft Access or SQL Server is preferred.FINANCIAL AND STATISTICAL KNOWLEDGERequires basic knowledge of financial and statistical terms and principles.REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations and to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex data sets. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry environment.OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIESAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite Products, particularly Excel.
