Job Description
Neira Event Group is looking for Event Managers that love to work weddings and other special events.
Must have:
Valid Driver's License
Friday-Sunday Availability, weekend and day and night Typical wedding 12 hours events range 5-10hrs
Able to work long hours on your feet
Have customer service experience
Have leadership experience
Access to wifi
Computer and cellphone
Must be reliable, these are special events, cancellations, and calling in does not happen.
Ability to deal with high-pressure situations
Ability to manage last minute changes
Ability to problem solve and prevent
Ability to deal with and manage difficult people, both professionals and clients
Ability to maintain and start professional relationships with other industry professionals
Duties and Responsibilities
Represent our company in a professional manner
Manage and help with Event set up
Manage vendor load and clean up
Orchestrate Event activities
Manage and create timelines
Communicate timelines with event vendors
Promote our event company to potential clients
Education
High school diploma/GED
Administrative experience and experience involving independent responsibility for an office function or activity and' event planning experience
Ability to professionally address customers, identify customer needs, provide accurate and timely information, and manage difficult situations
Working knowledge of word processing, electronic scheduling, spreadsheets, and database management
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Job Types: Part-time, Contractor
Pay:
$20.00 /hour as an Event Manager
$15 / hour as an assistant you may choose to be an assistant on events you are not managing.
$10/ hour when in training 1-2 events
About the job
Neira Event Group is searching for event managers to lead and orchestrate events successfully! As an event manager, you will be in charge of event communications and operations (level and timing depending on the event.
For weddings, the Event Manager will spend a minimum of 20 hours per wedding. 12 hours on the wedding day, 1 at rehearsal 7 hours in meetings, creative and administrative tasks. Additional hours may be added when other duties may need to be performed such as assembling items for the wedding or events.
For events, the event manager may spend between 10-50 hours on a project. These vary from corporate to community events and hours will vary.
Each project and date will be assigned to you with plenty of notice.
Though work can be done remotely, you can also expect to come to our office to work and to conduct meetings.
