Capitol Boat Club (www.capitolboatclub.com) provides a private fleet of boats to its members and we are seeking seasonal Full Time and Part Time Crew Members to join our crew. As a Crew Member you will be responsible for providing an unparalleled experience to our members!
All positions are seasonal. Once hired, you will work from mid/late April to mid October
Day to day duties include:
Arriving before a scheduled member outing to uncover the boats and ensure they are clean and filled with fuel.
Escorting members to the proper boat and ensuring they are familiar with controls and waterways. In some cases, a new member will need about an hour of on the water training.
Filling gas tanks and periodically picking up supplies while members are out boating (you will need your own vehicle - mileage reimbursed).
Helping members park boats when they arrive back from their outing.
Light cleaning and refueling of boats after an outing.
Deep cleaning of boats as needed.
Light boat maintenance as needed.
Recording how much fuel was used during an outing.
Thoroughly checking for and reporting damage to any boats.
Acting as the Captain for our Captained Charters.
Prior boating experience is plus, but is not required. We can teach you to drive a boat!
Availability and Flexibility are a must:
We are open 7 days a week from 7:00am to 9:30pm, so availability for weekends and holidays is required. Shift hours are very flexible, but are typically scheduled for about 6-7 hours between the hours of 7:00am - 3:00pm and/or 1:30pm - 9:30pm.
