Local Delivery Driver position is responsible for delivering current orders after they have been assembled. This person works closely with the Packers and/or packs on his own. Warehouse organization, shipping and receiving, and housekeeping duties will be assigned as needed. Needs to be familiar with common names of food products, able to drive a truck, be able to lift 50 lbs and use a hand truck. Hours are Monday thru Saturday, 6 am to mid-afternoon. Must be available Saturdays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Verify that vehicle is ready for deliveries

o Check temperature of box

o Check brakes, fuel, mirrors, tires for readiness

o Vehicle should be free of debris

o Box should be clean and free of debris

Check in office for routing directions

Load truck for deliveries

o Requires ability to lift at least 50lbs

o Requires use of hand truck and/or fork lift

o Position goods for safety and convenience in delivering

Verifies that goods loaded are consistent with the invoices

o Get routing information for delivery schedule

For each delivery:

o Remove goods and invoice to area specified by customer

o Check-off each item (with customer) on invoice

o Have customer sign for receipt of goods (deliver person also signs)

o Pick up any items, including any returned goods and check/money

Stay in contact with office for any messages (use of cell phone)

At end of the day's deliveries return to warehouse and:

o Turn invoices, any other paperwork, and money/cash to Office

o Report any problems with vehicle or deliveries

o Leave truck in clean condition, locked and parked in proper place

Perform general housekeeping duties of the warehouse, dock, and other areas

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include a valid Wisconsin license, good driving record, ability to drive a truck, hand truck experience and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

o High School diploma or equivalent

o Good reading and writing skills in English

o Knowledge of different food products, or willingness to learn

o Must be detail oriented and pay close attention to accuracy

o Minimum of one year driving experience

o Ability to properly handle confidential information and accuracy

o Ability to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies

o Ability to work in a temperature controlled environment for long periods of time

o Must be able to work and drive in adverse weather (folks, this is Wisconsin)
