A large insurance firm is looking to add an Application Development Engineering Specialist to their growing team, in a fully remote setting! They have grown significantly in the last two years, acquiring different insurance firms throughout the country. They are looking to add an experienced Engineering Specialist to their team who has a strong knowledge of Java, cloud infrastructure, as well as a background in Guidewire. This role will be collaborating with others in the division to provide and maintain applications to meet business needs. Responsible for software design and development for complex and/or large-scale business solutions, providing technical guidance and leadership for specific applications. Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum BS in Computer Science and 8 years with progressive software experience
  • 6 + years of professional Software Engineering experience (Java/JEE technologies preferred)
  • 6+ years of professional Guidewire experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with JavaScript and frameworks like ReactJS and Angular
  • Springboot/Spring framework experience
  • Comfortability building Microservices from scratch
  • Hands-on cloud experience with various AWS/GCP services
Desired Skills & Experience
  • SQL
  • Insurance Knowledge
