My client in Madison is looking to hire THREE Design Engineers with C Embedded experience. The role sits onsite in Madison, WI.

Description

Software focused design engineer will be responsible for the coordination and development of the software platforms employed in various appliances. This critical role will be focused on developing internal specification and coding standards, testing methodology, as well as developing, editing, and collaborating on internal and external code bases. As an integrated team member, the software engineer will be responsible for maintaining project progress as well as supporting other teams and engineers.

Review, comment, edit, and provide feedback on existing and new code bases
Develop detailed architectural and design documentation
Paired coding and development
Endpoint and regression testing and test development
Generate Windows applications for technicians and service organization for numerous products
Evaluate 3rd party work and processes for compliance with internal standards
Support lab and engineering personnel in organization
Provide algorithm development and support for systems engineers
Assist Test Engineering personnel in production environment
Strong balance between timeline and requirements delivery a must

Qualifications

Education

Required

Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.

Preferred

Bachelors or better in Computer Engineering or related field.

Bachelors or better in Computer Science or related field.

Bachelors or better in Software Engineering or related field.

Experience

Required

3 years: Industry or related experience in software development

C, C, C #, programming experience

Preferred

Python experience

UL 60730

Agile/Scrum Project environment familiarity

Embedded System design experience

Ability to work in environment with high rate of design change on routine basis

Strong written and oral communication skills
