- Extensive understanding of SOX controls, risks, and compliance requirements and auditing processes related to IT, financial, and those specific to manufacturing and distribution. Act as a subject matter expert on SOX IT compliance to the wider business and the controls required to ensure compliance.
- Proven capacity to understand complex technical components, collaborate with and influence technical peers, and present and explain technical information with others (technical or non-technical) in a way that establishes rapport, persuades, or provides greater understanding
- Experience in supporting risk mitigation strategies through the implementation of IT controls as well as experience managing multiple control sets as a result of M&A or significant application upgrades spanning multiple years (requiring dual sets of control operation).
- Excellent organizational, consultative and communication skills, analytical ability, decisiveness, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with customers, IT management, staff and vendors. (Project management & facilitation skills)
- Ability to lead a small team and lead in a matrixed global environment in regard to all aspects of audit interaction as well as multi-task and manage many simultaneous activities, providing leadership of all levels with relevant updates and needed escalation points
- Deep experience with compliance related software (preferably AuditBoard), or the ability to quickly learn and utilize compliance software functionality in detail
- Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Excel, Sharepoint and Teams as well as highly effective skills in virtual facilitation (screen sharing, meeting recordings, and associated documentation)
- Ability to quickly assess new applications that are financially signification to determine the need for IT Control creation - organize and build needed controls and negotiate and ensure ownership and execution of those controls across the organization.
- Experience with SAP technical usage and rulesets and functional knowledge of databases and operation systems and their associated security structures
