IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide. Our client is looking for a .NET Enterprise Architect professional to lead efforts in defining best practices, standards and process improvements within BITS for technical infrastructure, application design, coding, and security. The goal for this position is to provide the most advanced level of technical expertise and leadership for all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) in order to increase the value and quality of products developed and supported by the section, identify cost effective solutions to saving operating costs, and shaping the future of BITS. This position is responsible to review current application security and work with our Security Unit to provide industry standard expertise, analysis, recommendations, and enforcement of web application security methods within BITS. Must have significant business knowledge and have one or more areas of technical expertise in which they concentrate. This position is responsible for providing guidance during integration of web applications with on prem systems, like the CARES which includes multiple platforms and operating systems, and cloud systems including emerging technologies and architectures. In order to provide the expected guidance, the position will need a thorough understanding of APIs, web application servers, reverse proxies (NAM), load balancing (F5), directory and web access management systems, session managements, security, LDAP assessable directories (AD and eDirectory), authentication and authorization including Federated Services, database connection pooling methods, troubleshooting, design and implementation. Extensive coordination and consultation with development area technical leads, other client technical support and applications development sections, state agencies, and vendors is expected.

  • Provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of an enterprise’s architecture to effectively support the corporate business strategy.
  • Responsibilities include researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.
  • Interfaces across several business areas, acting as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects.
  • Responsible for conception of solutions, building consensus and the selling and execution of such solutions.
Note: Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate's expense. This position is currently hybrid. Most of the work will be done remote (90%), which means that it will be required to be on-site at least once a month subject to change Location: Madison, WIContract: 1+ years
