Job Description
Position Summary: This role serves as a technical lead in the Sample Entry process at Eurofins, Madison. The key responsibilities will be split between creating and implementing training initiatives, supporting the daily production goals and longer term business initiatives related to the sample management department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the training program in Sample Entry (registration).
· Training new employees, working with less experienced staff, and optimizing workloads.
· Applies knowledge of Laboratory Information Management (NIMS) software to daily projects.
· Develops expertise in all of the sample accession tasks from project entry through the transition into the laboratory.
· Ability to focus on on-time and accurate delivery of daily goals.
· Effective working within a team environment and acts as a department-wide resource.
· Strong communication skills when working with the Entry team and supervisors.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.
· Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) in a science program. Experience may be substituted for education for the right applicant.
· 3-4 years of commercial experience
· Experience in a training or teaching environment
· Ability to use a variety of computer applications
· Demonstrated ability to deliver results on both short term and long term goals.
