- Support new product development and the existing supplier base to lead onsite/virtual assessment and qualification of materials suppliers, identifying gaps/opportunities, driving gap closure and continuous improvement actions
- Support day-to-day activities addressing Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) that will drive the cost of quality recovery process
- Review supplier's processes and identify improvement opportunities in processes and systems to improve quality, cost and flow of supplied materials
- Perform supplier qualification and surveillance audits with cross-functional teams
- Review and assess supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions including dimensional layouts, material certifications, control plans, process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), process capability and gage studies
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required
- 5+ years of supplier quality experience
- Must have a strong background in electronics and electromechanical components and assemblies
- Knowledge of quality processes/procedures and experienced in 6-Sigma-Lean (including Advanced Statistics, Design of Experiments, Value Stream Mapping)
- Good facilitation and communication skills
- Ability to analyze information and data in order to create, analyze, maintain and effectively present to stakeholders
- Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings including GD&T
- Knowledge of measurement techniques including Metrology, Inspection Methods and Equipment
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is preferred, but not required
- Ability to travel up 20% (domestic & international)
