This individual will perform multiple assignments in support of machining, mechanical assembly, repair, refurbishment of equipment, components or tooling systems. Additionally, this individual can expect to perform electrical, mechanical and visual inspections. You will be asked to develop and apply basic skills in at least two of the following nuclear equipment services, or develop and apply basic skills in one of the following plus one of the operating plant product line services: Electrical Repairer, Machinist and Mechanic and will perform nuclear service functions of a similar nature as directed. This position may be subject to the requirements of both Westinghouse and customer "Security" and "Fitness for Duty" programs. This is an anchor position that is required to be on site every day.Your Day to Day:

Electrical Inspections:

Operating Electrical Test Equipment(Megger, DLOR, Fluke, etc)

Operating Motor Test Panels

Visual inspections on insulation systems(Stators, Rotors, Heaters, etc)

Verifications on stator windings and testing.

Mechanical Inspections:

Physically measuring the product with measuring & testing equipment.

Visual Inspections:

Looking for defects in the product

Operate machine tools, electrical test equipment, welding equipment, overhead crane, jib crane, forklift trucks or other service equipment in the repair of nuclear equipment.

Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, inspect, install, repair, and assemble basic equipment (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic).

Job planning, fabricating and the ability to operate electrical and electronic test equipment.

Set up and operating machine tools: Drill press; lathes and milling machines.

Site specific training, Radiation safety, Hazard communication, Respiratory protection and rigging.

ANSI II - Electrical (Winder); ANSI II - Mechanical (Machinist) and complete Qualifications as applicable

Demonstrate, understand and practice Human Performance Tools, INPO Principals, Industrial Health & Safety, and ALARA principals, specific security requirements, and the importance of observing both Westinghouse and customer license requirements.

Participation and contribution of observations in the shop.

Acquire, comprehend and apply Nuclear Culture Safety requirements.

Who You Are:

High school degree or equivalent required

Associate's degree in an electrical or mechanical field preferred

2-4 years working experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills. Specific knowledge of electrical or mechanical drawing, or machining plus required mathematics.

Prior nuclear experience preferred

Winding:Ability to conduct random wound stators and strip Stators independently

Testing: Train on basic testing of motors, corona probe, panels, tip up, wedge tap and Run CSI.

Machining:Small machining/balancing, Coordinated measuring machine (CMM), individual component total indicator run-outs, concentricity of components.

Electrical & Mechanical: Operating various equipment. Skills required but not limited to: Assembly of pumps, seals, Auxillary motors and Reactor Coolant Pump motors.

Journeyman papers in electrical and/or machining

ANSI II mechanical and/or electrical certifications

Brazing and Welding
