PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manages team of forklift drivers and material handling and controls inventory on the production floor and warehouses.
SPECIFIC DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Organizes inventory to improve material flow.
Transports appropriate parts, via a forklift, as stated on the work orders.
Acquires parts necessary for orders for the production lines.
Ensures all inventory movements are recorded in ERP system through barcode scanning transactions.
Checks inventory prior to preparing set-ups.
Prepares and removes line set-ups, including leaving set-ups for the following day.
Loads/unloads trucks.
Working with the Production Manager and Production Planner/Scheduler, checks the build schedule daily.
Performs cycle counts.
Trains potential forklift drivers.
Manages a team of forklift drivers.
Completes reviews and goal expectations for other forklift drivers.
Enforces company policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Regular attendance
Forklift certified
Awareness of surroundings
Ability to identify parts and packages based on their identification codes
Follow all OSHA and internal safety protocols and policies

Ability to deal with a fast paced environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds, either alone or with assistance
Must be able to sit for majority of the work shift
Must be able to move and use the arms and feet within full range of motion or otherwise be able to operate machine controls
The operation of the fork lift often requires the operator to extend the neck to observe overhead loading activity
