Advanced Assembly Inc., located on the west side of Madison, is looking to add a 2nd shift Electronic Technician to our well-trained and experienced staff. Our new 105,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant is designed for optimal efficiency and quality in high-performance electronic assembly with the latest in robotic assembly equipment.
This full time (40 hours per week) position offers a 2nd shift schedule of 2:30PM-12:30AM, Monday-Thursday, (some overtime may be required), a competitive starting hourly wage, a full benefits package, and a casual work environment. Job Description: The Electronic Technician troubleshoots and repairs non-conforming PCBAs and/or products using established documentation, processes and equipment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time).
Perform component level Failure Analysis/Troubleshooting
Document defects found using fault codes and materials used
Disassemble and reassemble products using hand and power tools
Rework small components using magnification
Repair and test products using documented procedures
Report any issues or trends regarding the product to the supervisor
Make suggestions resulting in improvements of the product, process quality, and/or efficiency
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by primary supervisor
Requirements:
Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent field is required. Relative experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Knowledge of SMT & Thru-Hole technology component repair and solder experience are required
Knowledge of IPC Workmanship Standards and ISO Quality Standards are preferred
Ability to complete and pass all relevant testing to become IPC certified to IPC-J-STD-001
IPC-7711-7721 certification preferred
Experience in Microsoft Excel and Word programs preferred
Good written communication skills, including the ability to fill out daily records and logs
Ability to follow directions, read from and interpret written instructions and documentation
Ability to organize responsibilities to achieve maximum output to meet production and quality requirements
Ability to follow established product handling procedures consistently

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally.
