Advanced Assembly Inc., located in University Research Park on the west side of Madison, is adding a 1st shift Machine Technician to our well-trained and experienced staff. Advanced Assembly, Inc. is an electronics manufacturing provider of electronic assemblies and products. This full time (40 hours per week) position offers a 1st shift schedule of 5:00AM-2:30PM, Monday-Thursday, and 5:00AM-9:00AM Friday (some overtime may be required), a competitive starting hourly wage, a full benefits package, and a casual work environment. Job Description: The Machine Technician I is responsible for running, maintaining, and fine tuning programs for all equipment used in related machines used for circuit board assembly in the assigned area. Primarily, this is an entry-level Technician position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time).

Understand and follow all applicable safety and quality system procedures

Monitor the quality of the product and adjust the machine to comply with quality standards

Assist other Technicians in unscheduled maintenance, repairs and proto-types as necessary

Monitor the machines during production, resolve issues, and log results

Provide general assistance to the workflow in the department as required

Work on the line to fill in for Machine Operators, as needed

Performs other job-related duties as assigned by primary supervisor

Requirements:

Associate's degree in Electronics, Computer Programming, PC Repair, Automotive, CNC, or equivalent fields. Relative experience may be considered in lieu of degree

General knowledge of machinery and the ability to take things apart and put them back together

Knowledge of Print Circuit board automation is a plus

Intermediate computer skills including experience in Microsoft Excel and Word

Able to distinguish colors, fine circuit detail, and tones

Good verbal skills to communicate well in a diverse team environment

Good written communication skills, including the ability to fill out daily records and logs

Ability to stand in one area for long periods of time, with minimal breaks

Physical ability to move freely and have sufficient reflexes to perform the same tasks repeatedly using hands to complete the task at a constant rate so the assembly line will not be interrupted.

Hand-eye coordination necessary to work with small electronic parts

Ability to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis
