Apex Systems is looking for a Program Manager to help with a 18+ month long project. 100% remote, candidates must be based in Wisconsin or Iowa Please email your resume to Henry, hpohlam@apexsystems.com JOB SUMMARY: Seeking an experienced Program Manager (1) managing a program of transformational initiatives (2) supporting/coaching area leaders on initiatives they are managing (3) providing rollup status reports on all initiatives in the program to the overall program manager/transformation leadership team. (4) partners with a program change manager to drive initiative success This position is as much a traditional project management position as it is a strategic management position and will require effective communication and interactions with Senior Leadership. In this position both technical and soft skills are key. The PM needs to have the ability to tolerate ambiguity, charter unclear paths and be flexible in their approach - all while working to ensure consistency in the process and results. Experience with both Waterfall and agile methodologies is a plus. Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, development, administration, risk management, implementation, control, and closure of single or multiple large sized IT projects across multiple business units.

Educational Requirements Education Level Field of Study Required/Preferred Bachelor's Degree Preferred Certification Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Required • Experience with leading the front end / business case / scoping stage of a project/ software selection • Strong vendor management experience • Demonstrated effective leadership and team skills • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage risks • Agile Methodology experience • Experience with MS Project • Experience presenting information to C-Suite & working with Executive Sponsors • Ensures Accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments • Organizational Savvy - Maneuvering comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics • Displays strong facilitation skills • Experience working on both I.T. and Business Unit Projects • Experience working on a virtual team • Able to work with stakeholders at all levels, from project teams, subject matter experts to executives • Be accountable, able to take ownership and quickly adapt to changes and project needs.Secondary Qualifications: •Experience working with Energy Companies (desired) Experience working with an Organizational Change Manager Required Experience 10 years of experience in project management managing multiple medium to large sized, complex projects and at least one successful experience leading at a program level. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Information Technology (IT) technical aptitude, background or experience - including experience successfully managing IT projects. Ability to analyze and solve problems of a moderate nature and implement an effective solution. Ability to organize large project plans and effectively document accordingly. Demonstrated ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with a minimum of direction. Demonstrated effective leadership and team skills. Ability to develop and apply performance measures. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
