Convergent Science is a growing company that has been providing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) consulting services to the automotive and engine industries for over 15 years. Our main product, CONVERGE, is a multipurpose CFD code with innovative features including a fully coupled automated mesh created at runtime and Adaptive Mesh Refinement (AMR).
We're seeking a Systems Administrator to work in our Madison office. This position will primarily deal with Windows and Networking at first, but will expand into Linux systems administration as well. The main responsibilities will be overseeing a large cluster as well as providing support for both external clients and internal employees - everything from the desktops and printers to the servers and networking infrastructure. A mainly Linux shop, there are a handful of other outlying technologies that also require attention. We have and support remote offices in Texas, Detroit, Linz, Austria, and Pune India. This position will be joining a team of four other Systems Administrators.
General duties include:
Supporting our clients by troubleshooting software related issues (on both Windows and eventually Linux)
General Linux and Windows installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for both desktops and servers
Network administration
Network File Storage administration
Maintenance and expansion of our 5000+ core cluster
Administration of our backup scheme

-A 2 or 4 year degree is required
