OUR TEAM:

We are a R&D scientific team of highly motivated, energetic, and inquisitive individuals. We specialize in technology innovation and application to address cutting-edge research questions in the area of targeted protein degradation and PROTACs. We work closely together to achieve our scientific goals and have an extensive network of internal and external collaborations. We work in partnerships with academic laboratories as well as biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies to provide products and services, and in addition support joint peer-reviewed publications.

YOUR ROLE:

In this postdoctoral fellow position, you will be expected to independently propose, develop, and complete an impactful research project(s) within targeted protein degradation, expanding beyond the previous contributions from our team to the field. The majority of the time in this position will be spent in the laboratory, but will also include research to stay current with the field, conference attendance, internal and external presentations of work, and additionally peer-reviewed publications of discoveries.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

You are a very creative and independent person who has a PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or Chemical Biology and is looking to continue to grow their career as a scientist. You enjoy working in the laboratory and on challenging projects, you have excellent communication skills, thrive within a team setting, and are good with decision-making.

  • This is a 3 year Limited Term Employment (LTE) position. Conversion of this position to regular full-time position is a possibility, based on your performance as well as business needs.

JOB OBJECTIVE: Responsible for a basic research project in the area of targeted protein degradation research to address important biological questions as well as develop new technology to solve problems. The ability to champion innovative research is the primary objective of this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Independently develop research plans and manage timelines.

2. Primary author for peer-reviewed journal articles, abstracts, and/or patents.

3. Attend scientific conferences and become a recognized expert in area of research.

4. Communicate problems, ideas and suggestions to appropriate person or group.

5. Ability to suggest novel and innovative approaches.

6. Work at bench.

7. Understands and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ph.D. degree in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or Biology-related area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to work at lab bench or fume hood for extended period of time.

2. Ability to wear protection gear (gloves, lab coat, safety glasses, etc.).

3. Ability to operate a computer.
