Join a Manufacturing company with this open Programmer Analyst role from Robert Half. You'll establish and define the scope and objectives of systems, applying your knowledge of software and applications programming and industry requirements. Using research and fact-finding, you will recommend developments and modifications for applications or databases. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Programmer Analyst role based in Madison, Wisconsin. Apply today.Responsibilities- Assembles and maintains dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst- Analyzes processing procedures. Develops recommendations for improvements- Reviews user requests for changes or improvements to systems. Records functional requirements and analyzes cost, feasibility and utility. Makes suggestions regarding how, when and whether to make the changes- Acts as the in-house guide on applications, systems and/or processes to internal clients in identifying and resolving, processing/reporting programming problems. Consultation can take the form of troubleshooting and/or education- Trains and assists end users and other partner groups for a particular application, system or process, on an ongoing basis- Assesses and logs issues. Works alongside other programmers to correct problems with code- Assists in the developing communication content for specific system changes being implemented in production- Create and test programming changes for every systems development phase prior to implementation. Write test cases and expected outcomes. Review results and verify that requirements are met. May develop simple tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May recommend acceptance/rejection if requirements are not all met Requirements - 3+ years experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements- Strong project planning and management tasks, business systems support functions and project costing techniques- Enterprise Software Development experience- Deep understanding of Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP)- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Power BI- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server- Adeptness in business analysis- Solid understanding of ASP.NET- Foundational knowledge in SAP- Knowledge of PC and mainframe hardware/software- Comprehensive understanding of programming languages- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening) Robert Half Technology matches IT professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
