We are a fast paced and quickly growing landscape company based in Fitchburg.
We have work booked out until the end of the summer and so are looking to hire someone very soon!
We are looking for talented people to join our team to get trained to be a crew lead for the 2021 season. You would work the fall season with us doing Lawn mowing, Cleanups, and other landscape work. Then, you would work doing snow removal in the winter and hit the ground running come spring 2021.
Job description/overview - Lead field crew in performing various landscape installation projects, of all varying sizes.
In collaboration with the management team, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reporting to management team each morning to review the day’s work
- Assigning all tools, fuel, equipment, materials each morning
- Loading/unloading each morning and evening
- Checking and maintaining truck and equipment oil, fluids, tire pressure, trailer
connection, lights/brakes, blades, etc.
- Representing the standards and expectations of the company
- Training field staff to perform efficiently and maintaining performance reports
- Ability to maintain and enforce a drug-free workplace at all times
-Strong knowledge and ability to perform a wide range of landscape and hardscape installation practices
-Observing all company procedures and policies at all times
-Operating the routing software
- Observing existing job notes and adding new notes as necessary
- Implementing and training the proper use of safety equipment and ergonomic practices of field crew
- Communicating between clients, management and administrative staff.
- Tracking field labor and budgeted hours on each project
- Reviewing daily and weekly scheduled work and preparing as needed
- Use of hand tools, small equipment, and heavy equipment as needed
- Other activities as temporarily or permanently assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Must be 18+
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to pass a drug screening
Must have reliable transportation to and from work every day
Ability to lift 50lbs or more on a daily basis
Must be legally able to be employed in Wisconsin
Must have 1+ year of landscape installation experience
Must have 1+ year of hardscape/paver installation experience
Possess and maintain a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
Possess and maintain good driving record
Possess a valid checking or savings account upon employment acceptance
Ability to operate an iPad and field software
Ability to read maps, designs, and instructions
Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with all clients, employees, and those from external organizations
