Location: Madison, WI.

Contract Length: 1 Year Contract with possible extension.

This position is remote initially due to COVID but will be onsite after it is deemed safe to return.

  • Top Skills:
    • Front End (40%): Design UI pages with Bootstrap, Kendo UI, JQUery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
    • Backend Business Logic (40%): Strong knowledge on OOPS principle; .NET Core: 2.1, 3.1, 5.0; .NET Framework: 4.5.2, 4.8.
    • Database Work (20%): Troubleshoot SQL queries; complex stored procedures, functions, triggers; basic SQL concepts like joins, indexing, etc.

Details:Urgent need of a highly skilled web application software developer position with the capability to apply the Microsoft technology stack to build customer solutions. This position is assigned highly visible projects, including the GEARS project .In addition, this position is expected to work within a team of Microsoft .NET developers to upgrade and service the 20+ ADS applications that DHS relies on daily, including being an integral resource to support the Division of Quality Assurance Misconduct Incident Report (MIR) and the Division of Public Health Tuberculosis Reimbursement application (TOBI).The responsibilities will include the development of websites and internet applications using the Microsoft .NET framework and related development technologies such as ASP .NET, and a supported programming language (e.g. Visual Basic, Visual C, Visual C#). Perform various coding and programming tasks, such as design or development of Web front-end, back-end Web-based applications, and Web/Internet services. May involve coding and integration of text, graphics, sounds, and/or video.This position will also have an opportunity to support .NET applications used in our SharePoint environment, as well as custom SharePoint workflows, application solution development using client-side and server-side object model.

Must Have Skills:Must be able to take the initiative to move projects forward with minimal oversight;Must be a team player with the desire to be a hands on developer.Ability to guide the team with sharing industry standards and best SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) practices.Preferred: SharePoint development experience using server-side and client-side object model. Experience in SharePoint custom development
