Schedule and Location:
This position is typically an 8-hour shift from 6am – 2pm Monday through Friday.
Flexible overtime schedule when voluntary or required.

The Maintenance Technician job is entry level position responsible for performing preventative maintenance duties and simple repairs for equipment, tooling, and machines, following all Parker Hannifin Standard Operating Procedures and Safety regulations and practices. The incumbent contributes to and participates in a strong team environment.
Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Assists with or performs routine preventative maintenance according to established schedules.
Performs or assists with simple machine, tooling and equipment repairs as assigned.
Learns and continues to increase proficiency with repair and proper working order of all machines, tools, and equipment. This also includes becoming familiar with optimal machine or equipment operation.
Develops proficiency in reading machine drawings, blue prints, schematics, etc. and stays current with updates.
Assists Senior Maintenance Technician(s) with more complex machine and equipment repairs and rebuilds.
Develops working knowledge of interface between mechanical and electrical controls
Becomes familiar with operation of HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, compressed air, and gas systems throughout the plant.
Performs logging and documentation of work activities as needed.
Participates in area and process team projects and activities.
Performs or assists with other duties as assigned.
Education, Training and Experience
HS diploma or GED;
Experience in machine maintenance preferred;
Completed technical school coursework preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to operate line machinery, hand equipment and tools, hand jacks and forklifts
Proficiency in basic math skills
Measurement skills, including use of precision measuring tools
Attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot for process improvement
Effective English communication and listening skills
Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Successful prioritizing and management of work projects
Physical Demands
Extended periods of standing and walking throughout the plant
Frequent use of hands to grasp, hold or otherwise manipulate machinery and parts
Stretching, reaching above shoulders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending
Visual acuity
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Frequently lifting/moving of objects up to 30 lbs.; occasional lifting/moving of objects up to 50 lbs.

Exposure to moving parts on line, as well as moving equipment throughout the plant
