We have a contract to hire opening for Quality Assurance Engineers with our direct client in the Milwaukee area that has delivered results for leading companies in the transportation, cosmetics, and consumer electronics. Corp to Corp candidates are not elligible for this positionAs the Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for testing (verification and validation) of the next generation of products in an Agile-Scrum environment, partnering with scrum team that focuses on the development of a robust quality product to improve the customer experience. You will be working closely with various software development teams to coordinate testing efforts, prepare testing plans, and develop best practices that complement existing development methodologies and practices. The position will also be responsible for compiling and reporting overall software Quality Assurance metrics for the organization.
Key job responsibilities:- Create test plans and test cases for large scale products.
- Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products.
- Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines.
- Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
- Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
- Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.
- Work alongside business and development partners to deliver solutions using an Agile Scrum framework.
- Ready to play different roles as needed by team.
- Mid-level software test engineer with hands-on experience or knowledge in front-end testing (UI), back-end testing (C#, DB, APIs, services) and test automation using various technologies, frameworks, and tools
- Hands-on experience with C#/.NET/Microsoft testing frameworks for API and automated testing.
- Experience in API testing via Postman or similar tool.
- Good understanding of HTTP network communications, specifically in RESTful APIs. Full knowledge of how JSON works is a necessity as well.
- Have created tests on browser automation test framework, testing a web application.
- Hands on experience in both white-box and black-box testing.
- Experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban and/or Lean software development methodologies and JIRA tool for test management.
- Experience in Source code control in git.
- Experience working with various source code and CI/CD management tools (e.g., Jenkins, DevOps, Git, Bitbucket)
- Hands on experience using Sauce Labs for parallel cross browser and cross OS testing
- Experience in testing web technologies, services, and physical devices.
- Knowledge of test frameworks such as Cypress, Testcafe, Selenium using C#
- Knowledge of page object model design pattern
- Knowledge of Cucumber/Gherkin DSL
- Knowledge of TDD/BDD practices
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience using CI/CD tools
- Experience with Tools and Best Practices for Secure Application Development
- Experience in working with offshore teams
