Position: AWS Cloud Solution ArchitectHire type: FTELocation: Milwaukee, WI. The person should be working out of client site which is Milwaukee on a regular basis
- Min Bachelor’s degree in technical field; AWS certifications are huge plus
- 12+ years of relevant experience
- Last 5 years involved in AWS centric projects in Architect capacity
- Excellent communication/ articulation/consulting skills

- Designing solutions and driving a program team to execute a large multi-platform environment on AWS using a combination of AWS services and 3rd party tools
- AWS services and APIs: EKS, possibly Fargate / Lambda in the future, Service Mesh, AWS Control tower
- Design and set-up familiarity for baseline AWS services and APIs – ECS, S3, DNS, LB, VPC is assumed
- Non AWS: Splunk, App-D, Istio
- Understand infrastructure services and strategies to advice the client on best practices for cloud-native applications across all non-functional areas scalability, reliability, backup, resilience, monitoring, instrumentation and servGitice support
- Strong understanding of the development engineering pipeline set-up and automation strategies;
- Has to have designed processes for DevSecOps towards a fast paced agile development environment.
- Familiarity with frameworks and tools in this area (Source control: Git, CI/CD: Jenkins, IaC: Terraform, Puppet and Helm)
- Good management skills for globally distributed shared services structure.
- Self starter: proactive and energetic, able to work with many levels of a customer’s hierarchy
- Has to be able to “talk” the technical language at architects level and strategies at exec level; does not have to be hands on except to review and occasionally troubleshoot
- Does not need to be an expert, but has to have experience in Security management aspects: NIST framework
- IT process management for operations/service management: ITSM processes
- Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus but not mandatory
