Job Description
The Manager of Commercial Strategy Operations is responsible for managing the key commercial go-to market process, including commercial forecasting; funnel analytics; SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning); budget, pricing and profitability; commercial agreements; warranty claims; and business analytics. The position partners with Product Management for new product commercialization of Rexnord Products, and partners with the Rexnord Business Systems (RBS) team to implement continuous improvement projects. This position reports to the VP/GM of Specialty Components and works in an entrepreneurial team culture.
- Improve ability to deliver sales and orders; help drive value stream efficiency and effectiveness
- Managing Rexnord commercial forecasting of Specialty Component brands (Stearns; Berg; Highfield)
- SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning)
- Global and regional price management, price deviation, and commercial agreements
- Quote development and escalation
- Product mix and margin analysis
- Managing the sales funnel analytics
- Provide fiscally sound and responsible recommendations and approvals
- Descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis
- Customer relations; manage customer complaints and warranty claims
- Implementation of 80/20 methodology
- Competitive analysis
- Sales support and customer development through application knowledge, training, and support
- New product commercialization
- Sales promotions & Campaign execution
- Manage a team and train, coach and motivate associates
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of commercial, product or marketing experience with highly engineered products in a complex B2B industrial manufacturing enterprise
- 2+years of supervisory/leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong financial acumen
- Proven track record of delivering to forecast though superior industrial commercial marketing and analytics, prior P&L experience preferred
- Able to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25% of the time) is required.
- Proficient with PCs and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- CRM experience, (SFDC) Salesforce preferred
- Understanding of Lean principles
- Direct experience in a mechanical industrial related manufacturing sector
