- Safety Program Development/Implementation. Promote a Culture of Continuous Improvement with a focus of Zero Harm in the workplace
- Lead/Provide Guidance to EHS Team, security staff & contracted safety personnel. Onsite contractor Safety compliance
- Conduct Employee Training on various OSHA regulations. Onsite Fall Protection, Competent Person & Respiratory Protection Program Administration. Ensure required Emergency Response Planning is conducted/implemented. Serve as Onsite Emergency Responder requiring 24 hour/day availability by pager or cellphone
- Provide OSHA regulatory training to hourly employees along with orientation to all new hires
- Coordinate exposure monitoring schedules
- Maintain & distribute statistical health & safety reports to Sr. Management
- Perform Job Hazard/Ergonomic Analysis & System Auditing
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial or Occupational Safety, or equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years of EHS experience within the manufacturing sector (industrial, construction, and/or heavy manufacturing)
- An acute understanding of EHS regulatory standards, interpretations and directives including OSHA, EPA, DOT
- Demonstrated experience in creating a safety culture based on leadership, accountability and a systematic approach to continuous improvement of EH&S outcomes
- Communication - Demonstrated high level of communication which allow for effective engagement of senior leaders, operational leaders, employees, and external stakeholders
- Driving Change - Must possess the inherent skills to drive change, must be strategic yet tactical, and creative yet fundamental, and able to work in a difficult and timely situations as well
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), AutoCAD, Training Management Systems, and EHS Software Suite
- Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygiene or related certification would be valued, but not required
