Title : ClearCase administrator Location : Milwaukee WI (Day One Onsite job) Duration : Long term Experience in clearcase administrative activities starting from server installation, monitoring application functions (for eg. scheduler tasks), vob creation and maintenance, replication and sync across clearcase sites globally, and resolve /support end users.
- Installation and Implementation of Clear case.
- Administration clearcase of various regions.
- Create, Manage VOB and Views
- Change VOB ownership move and remove a VOB.
- Checking Heath of a VOB Dynamic views
- Trouble shooting import elements into a VOB
- Administer Storage Pool
- Monitor Schedule Jobs & take action accordingly
- Manage clearcase access control
- Set up and manage clearcase licensing
- Backup and restore clearcase objects
- Policy enforcements using triggers
- VOB creation, migration, transfer, etc
- Multi-sync / Merging / scrubbing, etc
- Good Windows/ Linux / Solaris Knowledge
- Clearcase Tool Version Migration knowledge and experience
- Restore corrupted VOB activities with a good depth knowledge
- Worked on Major clearcase downtime and restoration activities
- Creation, management of file systems, batch, cron, scheduled tasks, Authentication, authorization
- Perform administration, necessary to provide data for utilization metrics and reports
- Proactive monitoring of workloads and services and scale up of clearcase instances.
- Good Knowledge on Networking & basic configuration
- Scripting and debugging knowledge would be a requirement.
- Interaction with Internal and Global Teams for product testing
- Knowledge on migration of code base from ClearCase to other SCM tools like Git
- Knowledge on monitoring tools which can monitor multiple clearcase setups and services from a central location, along with system alerts.
- Working with OEM/Global teams with good ITIL Knowledge
- Good Communication Skills
- Must be an SME for Clearcase and good to have knowledge on other Devops tools as well.
- Help technically and drive the L2 teams as well for their technical queries.
