Network Automation Engineer (DevOps) for our client in Milwaukee, WI Job Title: Network Automation Engineer (DevOps) Job Location: Milwaukee, WI Job Type: Contract Job Description:- Provide senior level network automation services focusing on designing, configuring, and integrating network provisioning processes.
- Provides network Devops project leadership for design and installation projects using standard technologies with a focus on network security and contemporary technology.
- Comfortable leading discussions at global team level.
- Provides senior level network Automation architecture expertise to Develop & Implement innovative software solutions to the automation of network infrastructure in the enterprise globally.
- Build new network provisioning process Design, prepare process decision trees, Build Automation codes.
- Build user guide documentation that will be used by Internal Network Engineers and External Vendor Network Engineers globally.
- Own aspects of the Automation project life cycle from initial ideation to design, pricing and to delivery.
- Conducts functional Pilot testing and provides recommendations based on the results.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on all network service provisioning process automation.
- To have extensive technical knowledge in a network field with a broad range of knowledge of all infrastructure technologies.
- Identifies opportunities to automate manual Network provisioning Build/Add/Update/Remove tasks in SDWAN, SDLAN, SD-WLAN, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Partner access connection and DHCP, DNS, IP address Management.
- Implementing self-service for all network services offering by eliminating traditional ticket-based request processes.
- Collaborates with end users and senior management to define business requirements for complex systems development.
- Thoroughly understands and complies with IT policies and procedures, especially those for quality and productivity standards that enable the team to meet established client service levels.
- Thoroughly understands and complies with Information Security policies and procedures.
- Expected to be level 3 technical escalation point for network automation issues.
- Participates in special projects and performs other related duties as assigned.
- Participate in the development of technical strategy, roadmaps and future state discussion with Network Architects.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Holds Cisco Certified DevNet Associate, Professional or Specialist certification.
- 3+ years’ working experience in enterprise network automation with DevOps Structure.
- Experience in DevOps CI/CD Pipeline (azure Devops preferred, Jenkins, Git).
- Experience of Network Automation using Python libraries (netmiko, corner, Scrapli, NAPALM, Cisco plats).
- Experience in Manipulation of network devices through REST API or other methods available.
- Experience in different data types, JSON, YAML, XML.
- 5+ years of working Experience of Web Platform development using bootstrap (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL).
- 5+ years of Python Software Development experience.
- Cisco Routing/Switching/Wireless/Firewall configuration/diagnostic experience.
- Meraki Routing/Switching/Wireless configuration/diagnostic experience.
- Previous Experience in fortune 500 companies with 1000+ locations and 10k+ network Devices is a big plus.
- Experience with deploying and managing networks in the public cloud (Azure & Google Cloud Platform)
- Hands-on experience in network design, engineering, monitoring, circuit provisioning, vendor management and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Cisco LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies, VPN, load balancers, firewalls, SNMP, CDP, lldp etc.
- Experience with network security solutions; ASA, Paloalto, Fortinet, Firepower, AnyConnect, Netflow, Splunk, Cisco ISE NAC.
- Knowledge of networking infrastructure offerings from Cisco, F5 Networks, Zscaler, Paloalto, Fortinet Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with DHCP, DNS and IP Address Management Solutions.
- Strong skills and desire to work in a process-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in a global network environment.
- Strong project leadership and communication skills.
