QA Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to advise and ensue appropriate continual and repeated testing around/for projects/changes and serve as a conduit in delivering quality results.
  • Understand the requirements and come up with Test Scenarios, including reviewing with business partners and identifying use cases with business partners
  • Perform manual Testing for all the new changes that are being developed for various files including Inclusion File, Custom Portfolio and Address files. The Data Validation is normally done by writing SQL queries to pull the data as per the business logic from the source and validate the same against the target file
  • Determine quality coverage and plan help to design testing strategy
  • Perform Automation Testing
  • Part 1: Business partners may need runs of existing scripts which can be done by the click of the button, however if there are failures we need to understand why the failures are occurring and fix the code or data accordingly.
  • Part 2: May need to make code changes (VB Script) using Test Complete tool based on the new UI changes on Albridge(vendor) side.
  • Using the existing automation framework, design and develop automated test scripts and maintain and update existing scripts
  • Setup and execute scheduled automated tests and identify any undesired or unexpected behaviors
  • Analyze results of manual and automated test runs determine cause of failures and coordinate/communicate with Business Analyst
  • Deliver results and issues found during automation or manual testing and provide appropriate reports
  • Owning and updating of Quality Action Plan.
  • Perform prod checkouts for any code moves.
  • Coordinate with Albridge and other vendors for any testing if there are any scenarios that needs to be updated and sent in various files.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of prior IT and/or Business related experience, including at least three (1) years related Automation or Development and/or applicable experience
  • Proficient with at least one scripting language and understand database querying
  • Ability to partner with Business Analysts and Product Owners to review system requirements, identify areas to be tested, and identification of user roles
  • Ability to partner with Development and Architecture to review system designs, identify technical challenges, automation candidates, and understand how software solutions are employed along with the relationship to the business process flow
  • Experience, comfort level and success working in agile/Lean environment
  • Adaptability to change approach and priorities to meet the needs of the project and clients
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to influence without authority
  • Detail oriented and possess exceptional organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.
  • Good communicator who wants to work in a team environment
  • Motivated by small quick wins and process improvement
